The Little ones are now aged two and four and a half, as sisters they are really close, they are the best of friends (most of the time) and play really nicely together. Little 1 has always had great ideas for games and plays for really long periods of time, Little 2 has a fantastic attention span for her age and plays really well with her big sister understanding the game she has going and following her rules.
It is lovely to see them playing together like this, in recent weeks I have been able to take a step back and allow them to play together without me joining in so much, this has allowed me a little time to pick up a magazine or drink my coffee while it is still hot!
The other day while I was upstairs changing the beds they were happily playing downstairs, I had left them playing babies and pre-schools, I could hear that they were doing something and there were many giggles, when I returned downstairs I found they had built this.
They (mostly Little 1 I expect) had taken all the cushions off the sofa and lined them up beautifully to make some sort of pathway to the babies cots, there was also a den they had created at the other end, I can't remember what the game was now or where they said they were going but they marched up and down those cushions for hours on and off, Daddy wondered what was going on when he came in from work.
What games do your Little ones play? Have they created any masterpieces with the furniture?
lol the cushion pathway brought back so many memories of my childhood! xxx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I love it when kids do things like this, totally random but they have so much fun :) #MiniCreations
ReplyDeleteThe best games are definitely the ones they invent themselves aren’t they? x
ReplyDeleteWe used to make the sofa into a caravan and play the Famous Five when we were little!
ReplyDeleteOh my two used to do this all the time and I was always terrified the LP would fall and hurt himself. The best was when they used sofa cushions to make a den and they all fell on top of LP as he was playing, he found that hilarious! #MiniCreations
ReplyDeletePleased to say our two get on very well too. Games seem to involve dressing up rather than re-arranging the sofa but I've made them dens a few times #MiniCreations
ReplyDeleteWe have a den at the moment it has been up 2 days and I am still not allowed to remove it!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, my pair love taking all the cushions off the sofa - endless fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures of your girls. Very creative of them :-) #letkidsbekids
ReplyDeleteIts a new thing for the Little ones but happens all the time now, I’m forever picking up cushions!
ReplyDeleteAh, I remember doing that when I was little. My kids can't do that as our cushions don't come off our sofa. It does look like they are having fun. I love it she they come up with these random games :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking #LetKidsBeKids
Haha that is fun! My son do this! but we only have 4 throw pillows so its not as long as yours.
ReplyDeleteAww I love this, both the fantastic cushion pathway, and how nicely they play together! Monkey loves playing with blankets, wrapping them round himself, hiding underneath them, covering mummy and/or daddy with them. He hasn't progressed to cushions - yet! lovely post xx #letkidsbekids
ReplyDeleteOOh yes there is a great deal of blanket play here too, thanks for commenting .
ReplyDeleteThanks, they don’t mind having their photo taken thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteI did it too, trouble is they keep playing with them now!!
ReplyDeleteKids do some up with some great fun don’t they!
