Recently Little 2 has been coming out with lots of funny things. Her language is fantastic for her age and now that she is talking more and more, she seems to say something funny every day. I've been writing down some of the funny things the Little Ones have said and I thought I would share them. Some are just mispronunciations or words we have.
The other day it was really foggy outside when we woke up. Little 2 said it was really dusty outside and Daddy needed to hoover. The day before Daddy had been cutting the concrete in the new bathroom for the shower base and the room had been filled with dust when he had opened the door, he had told her that he needed to hoover (when the dust had settled) to make it go away so she obviously applied this concept to outside too, good deduction in my opinion for a 25 month old. Once we had explained that it was foggy she repeated that it was 'froggy'! Little 1 said that it wasn't dust, it was mystery (misty)!
When Little 2 was walking up a hill after a long walk she crouched down with her hands on her knees and said 'I can't walk with my legs on'. I think her legs were tired.
An escalator is known by us all as an 'alligator', as that is what Little 1 has called them since she was small. We have had more than one funny look in Debenhams when she has shouted at the top of her voice 'I want to go on the alligator!'
Once when out for a walk Little 1 stopped abruptly and shouted at the top of her voice 'Look an apricot', it was actually a pinecone!! That one really did make me laugh out loud!!
Blueberries have until recently been called boobies by Little 2, they are now boo-blees!
Little 2 was getting frustrated with a toy not doing what she wanted it to while I was in the kitchen, I called out 'Are you ok?' and she replied 'I'm having a ploblem (problem).'
We had been singing The farmer's in his den with the girls when Little 2 piped up 'The farmer wants a life!'
Little 2 was helping me wrap a present, she went to get the sellotape out of the drawer and picked up a pair of scissors and handed them to me saying "here's the pineapples Mummy". I have no idea where that came from!
Little 2 picked up a pinecone while out yesterday and insisted on calling it a 'mole' even thought she knew what it was!
I think if Little 1 can't remember what something is she just says something random instead but it is quite funny.
What funny things have your Little Ones said? Do you have any made up words in your house?
