The Little ones go on an easter egg hunt

Every year there is a free Easter Egg Hunt run by our parish council in a little nature reserve not too far from our home, we have been taking the Little ones for the past few years and this year was no exception.

It was a lovely sunny spring morning so we donned on the wellies and went in search of some chocolate. It is very popular with local families and rather than hunt for eggs you have to hunt for the 12 bunnies hidden around the paths and write their names on a little form, when you have found them all you can exchange your form for an Easter egg.

There are golden eggs to find too, the lucky ones who do find them can exchange for large Easter egg prizes but they are notoriously difficult to find we have never managed to find one!

The Little ones were keen to set off and look for bunnies, they went running around the paths and in and out the bushes.

peepo!
There was lots of bunny spotting and this year Little 1 enjoyed writing the names of the bunnies onto her form by herself.

The girls each chose a chocolate bunny as their prize, they were very good and didn't want to eat it right away, infact they haven't even asked about them since they put them under the buggy while walking home!

There was a colouring competition and a guess the name of the rabbit competition too.

And what did Little 3 do while we were searching for bunnies, well he enjoyed a good long snooze in the pushchair taking in the spring sunshine.

Looks like they had such a great time, what a lovely trail. My kids often forget about sweets, although less so as they've got older :) #letkidsbekids
