The playdough one

It was freezing cold outside with a bitter wind and drizzly rain so we decided to stay indoors. The Little ones wanted to play with playdough, Little 2 had a set of lots of different colours for Christmas so we chose a few colours and I got some play cutlery, plates and pans as a change to the normal cutters and shapes we use. Then we set to work making dinner.

Little 1 made pancakes and biscuits while Little 2 enjoyed cooking things in the saucepans. They made quite an array of yummy goodies and were really engrossed in what they were doing chatting away to each other and sharing the tools nicely.

Mummy made a pizza, that Little 2 thought looked good enough to eat, I did have to stop her licking it!
Little 2 made this little creation all by herself, she was very careful and took a lot of time over it. She said it was Santa and the yellow bit was his hat. i thought it looked pretty good myself.
Mummy got creative and made some flowers.
Little 1 also created this little lot (left-right)
her self portrait, an orange sandwich, blue hot dog, 3 crisps and a fork. We saved this to show Daddy when he got home from work.
After we had played for around 45 minutes and Little 2 was beginning to eat more playdough than I would have liked, I suggested that we wash up all the play crockery, the girls thought this was a great idea and spent the next 20 minutes at the sink scrubbing, tipping and pouring and drying up with big smiles on their faces.

We had great fun playing with playdough today, it is something the girls like to play with often and they always come up with some lovely creations.

We love play dough too. Potato still mainly just squishes it around but I really like the idea of using it to 'make' dinner!
Thanks for linking up with #binkylinky

We regularly play with it but not usually for long as it gets nibbled!
